Customer ratings and reviews for HP Slate 7 Extreme

Rated 5 out of 5 by Terrific tablet This tablet is terrific. The size is a perfect combination of usability and transportability. It even fits in my back pocket when it's not in the case (although that scratches the screen protector so I don't recommend it). Mine just received the Android 4.4.2 (Kit Kat) update so the UI now matches my phone. The pen works really well and the forward facing speakers are very nice. I use this tablet every week to take handwritten notes at church. It has performed extremely well for me thus far. June 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great tablet I purchased this for my husband from the children and grandchildren for Fathers Day. He loves it. He didnt think he needed one but now that he owns one he is a Happy man! I would recommend this tablet. Good battery life ,easy loading and fun to use. My Husband is 74 and can use this tablet easily. Thanks HP for another great and innovative but easy to use product. We are an HP family! June 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by good over all tablet I am experiencing charging problems. Tablet will not take a charge. I have tried different charge cords but it does not work. Tablet is a good product and will keep using it when it can take a charge. June 1, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best performance/price buy My family has tablets (six) of various other types. This is by far the quickest that cost less than $400, and compares favorably to the iPad in this respect. I have had a very good run with HP products over the past few years, and in the rare cases where something wasn't right, their customer service has done well. If you're looking for a smaller, quick, well-built tablet, this will work well. The only complaint is the charging port, which doesn't hold the plug in very well, which means no reading laying in bed unless you don't need a charge. May 24, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by The last resort for a Tegra Note. NVIDIA has been a strong corporation for producing high-end gaming hardware. A good gaming PC is suggested to have a GeForce chip inside. Then NVIDIA makes another wise move, to produce processors for gaming in the mobile industry. Thus, the birth of the Tegra chip. It has been years now since the first version of Tegra, and the 4th generation chip redefines gaming for mobile devices. They made a portable console running this chip, gamers love it. Then they make a tablet running this chip, gamers and businessmen love it more. The Tegra Note 7 offers direct updates from NVIDIA, then HP enters the partnership. They rebrand the Tegra Note and takes the rights to software updates as theirs. This may have been a triumph for them, but not for their consumers. Another partner, EVGA had also made the Tegra Note 7, in fact, keeping the name. They offer direct updates from NVIDIA directly and gives more support to their consumers. As an owner of the dreaded Slate 7 Extreme, have you heard that the EVGA Tegra Note 7 has received the latest version of Android, 4.4.2 KitKat? Probably not. I could say that it offers the exact features of the other Tegra Note (back when it was still in 4.2.2 Jelly Bean anyway). The stylus is as sharp as the fine tip of its end. In fact, I am writing the review with it. Gaming is what I aimed for in this tablet, and it is what I got. The processing is excellent for a 1GB device, and having control with clocking of the device (for battery saving purposes) gives it an extra point above most tablets. But from all of these perks, come a weakness. The lack of software updates bring this tablet lower than most because of HP acquiring it. Without any knowledge of updating this to KitKat, the Slate 7 Extreme is brought to ashes of Android. May 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by love the eprint feature! This is much better than the slate 7. It hasn't froze up so far so good. Great photos. May 21, 2014
