Customer ratings and reviews for HP Scanjet G4050 Photo Scanner

Rated 4 out of 5 by good performance, slow I'm using this scanner to digitize old 35 mm slides. The results are excellent, but once you select a few of the options the scanning time for a tray of 16 slides extends out to hours. May 22, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by scanjet g4050 There is at least one software glitch associated with this product. It would not work with the Officejet 6500A Plus also connected to the computer. Ten hours spent with help agents could not solve the problem. I am returning the scanjet. HP should have solved this issue before marketing the scanjet. Alternatively, HP should warn customers about the software problem. April 22, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by excellent features so easy to use and fantastic results April 17, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Had it for 2 years and it has never worked! I have been trying to get this thing (it is more or less a paper weight at this point) for about 2 years now. I am only having to revisit it because of a house fire that destroyed all of my photos. It adds insult_ to injury_ that this scanner remains. I found some negatives in the ashes and I have to scan them. Well 3 days and nothing. I am going to have to buy something new with the little money that is left. April 14, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by still not sure the literature indicated that I could scan and send by email. so far I cannot figure out how to do this. a TI helped but he could not get it to work. April 12, 2012
