Customer ratings and reviews for HP Photosmart 7520 e-All-in-One Printer

Rated 5 out of 5 by New We really haven't had this long enough to do a real review but so far we are very pleased with performance and features! April 30, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Ouch!!! This machine did not work from day 1! The fax wouldn't recognize telephone lines that are cable system modem connected. Print margins were misaligned with no way to fix them. Several of the features were not work because the printer and computer were connected by a USB connection. Print wouldn't align properly and the problems go on and on. Photo's were streaky and new Ink cartridges became a nightmare of time consuming and frustrating problems. I'm chalking this up to a very bad experience, and buying another all-in-one -- NOT HP. My trust in HP Products has been shattered. April 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice...for the most part... Purchased this printer for my parents as a replacement for their failed printer. Everything works well except for, what I feel to be, one of the most important features...the WIFI connectivity. Once the device goes unused for approximately 10 minutes, the PCs that are setup to utilize it lose connectivity. The only recourse is to power cycle the printer. I've tried EVERY posted remedy in the forums regarding the problem including trying different WIFI routers (more than one). The worst part about it is it's apparently a known issue...and been a known issue for MONTHS. I would have expected a firmware update to correct it by now...or a redesigned WIFI hardware/firmware configuration for the device. I guess we'll see... April 25, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by The deterioration continues I used to love HP printers. Three color cartridges that lasted; when one went bad, it was obvious which one needed replacement. Now there are five cartridges, you can't always tell which one is bad from a visual inspection, and the monitoring function is notoriously inaccurate. Meanwhile, the cartridges run out of ink in a relatively short time, whether you use them or not. Add to this that this printer doesn't do good borderless prints when printing from photoshop; it insists on adding a small border on at least one edge. I used to swear by HP printers; they were great. I'm finally ready to abandon home printing, and write off my investment in this printer as money down the drain, after I use up the (miserable) 564 cartridges. April 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by The worst HP photosmart printer ever This is my 4th HP photosmart printer. I have loved every one until this one. I do alot of photography work and have used my printers until they fell apart and were no longer available. I was pleasantly surprised with each new model. But this one! It has been replaced 5 times and still does not print a good photograph of people. The color is horrendous and I've even worked with the color techs to no avail. My last photsmart was the 8250 and I cried when it died and I couldn't replace it with a new one, so I went with this model, since it was supposed to be the best. I no longer print my own pictures. And the ink this thing goes through is unbelievable!. I even begged to get my old machine back hoping to find someone to fix it. I don't know what happened to the HP photosmart technology but it is nothing like is was previously. Since I really don't care about all the other features except the photoprinting and scanning I really can't comment on them but if you want something that prints a great picture- look for another machine. April 21, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Alignment failure. The printer does have great features. The only thing wrong is that it could not center those features on standard paper. HP sent me a replacement part for the printer and it failed again. Now I'm exchanging the printer for another Photosmart7520. Wish me luck!!! April 17, 2014
