Customer ratings and reviews for HP LaserJet Pro 200 color MFP M276nw

Rated 1 out of 5 by NOT for this kind of money I have NEVER (and that's a very long time) had an issue with a HP product. My first HP product purchase was in 1988 (about) for a pen plotter. That purchased got me hooked on HP products. This product however was a mistake. First problem was I had a massive amount if issues getting the software to install. It took 4 "re-installs" to get it right. That's bad. The clincher, was the fact that there is no manual paper feed. Want to put some slick paper in for some photo work? Take the normal paper out, put the slick paper in, and when you are done, revers that. Want to print an envelope, you guessed it. I wrote to corporate, and HP didn't even write back. That's what made me take it back, and what ended a relationship that is over 20 years old. So sorry, so sad, bye bye HP. November 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by HP: Doing it the RIGHT way... After researching a myriad of laser printers out there, we ultimately decided on the M276NW; this printer was to replace an aging Canon MX850 that finally gave up the ghost. Looking at cost of inkjet refills vs cost of consumables in a 4-toner cartridge laser printer, I thought it might be worth a shot to consider laser for the type of printing we do most. (Kid's projects, aviation related reports and smartpack products, occasional publication printing, etc.) I like the idea of having a commercial grade office machine at home to handle some of the bigger jobs. We use a lot of older HP's in my office, and put them through a lot, so I thought HP might be a good way to go for home. The feature set is fantastic. Being able to print from an iPhone seemed gimmickey initially, but truly, it's one of the nicest features available on this unit. Taking a picture of a product UPC panel with the phone, and making a quick print of it for insurance purposes, for example, is really handy. The APPs function is awesome; we have it set to print out the "Crayola Picture of the Day" every day for my son to color when he gets home. I received my unit VERY quickly when I ordered through HP's EPP website. FEDEX brought it to my door in (3) days in good condition. I unwrapped and installed my shiny new printer and had it working with all our computer assets in under an hour. Simple, easy, pilot-proof installation! Because I know bugs happen, and as a helicopter guy, I know things break at the worst possible time. I wanted to fully op-check all the functions of this machine before I started relying on it for work...Print/Fax/B&W Copy all worked as advertised, but when I got to Scan, some type of hardware issue made a "thin red line" along the entire side of the page (along the axis of travel of the scanning head) that appeared on every scan and color copy I made. Odd, I thought, for a brand new machine. A call to HP tech support yielded a lot of great help, firmware and software updates, and a few other troubleshooting steps. Ultimately, the tech determined it was a hardware problem and the machine would have to be returned for service. They agreed to send me out a replacement unit, and I could send mine back in once the replacement arrived. Sounds great, right? The replacement unit arrived in a few short days (fedex again) in a plain brown cardboard box. I knew what I was going to find when I opened the box. A refurb. Sure enough, complete with scratches on key panels (likely from an impatient previous owner of this machine, standing at the machine waiting for a copy to print, tapping their ring finger on the plastic...), some cyan toner "dust" in the bottom of the tray, and a few obviously replaced exterior plastic panels. While refurb replacements are common practice these days, my unit I originally shipped for service was less than FOUR DAYS old. That left a sour taste, and I wanted to call HP to touch base. I didn't pay for a refurb printer....I paid for a NEW printer when I bought it last week. Sure enough, both reps I spoke to were extremely helpful and coordinated a THIRD printer, a brand new one this time, sealed in the box, to be shipped to me free of charge, since it was within the replacement window. Good on HP for standing next to their guarantee and orchestrating a replacement of a product that had a problem. I received the new unit in three days, (Fedex, again) and just installed--absolutely NO ISSUES and it performs flawlessly. Paper capacity is great, and the drawer is a nice touch. We did NOT want an exposed paper tray as the dust factor and the aesthetics of it just don't jive with our home-office. The touch screen is cool, and though I haven't found an "adjustment" app yet it seems to respond pretty close to where you tap. It's quick. Prints from iPhone, USB-connected computer, and wireless-networked netbook come very quickly and are waiting for me when I go to pick them up. If you're looking for a no-kidding Multi-Function unit that does pretty much everything, with really good print quality and decent scan resolution (600-dpi...plenty for what we do with it on an everyday basis) and some great customer service, check out the 276. Not sure how it'll do with photos but, if you're looking for HD prints, you'll probably be using an online photo printing service anyway. This product gets great reviews from me, I'm a happy (once again!) HP customer. November 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Performance for Less! I'm an IT Manager(also CCNA) and know what's out there and use/setup other HP/Xerox/Ricoh/Canon devices. I searched and searched for something in the $400 dollar range that was COLOR LASERJET and that included Wireless N, AirPrint, and ADF, 4 inch COLOR LCD Screen, and Scan to Network Shared Folder and Scan to Email. This is the BEST Unit any company is selling right now!!! Best for SOHO businesses that need that that quality of COLOR LASERJET and simple to use!!! I HIGHLY recommend this can can honestly say you definately won't be disappointed! =) October 16, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by so far so good Only had this a few weeks but so far so good. It could warm up and print a little fast but I always say that. October 14, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Printer! I have been waiting for this one! Okay, so I can see how someone can be upset when they buy a new printer and it doesn't work, as in the previous person's review. But, come on, those kinds of things can happen with any type of technology product. It is so extremely rare, that I don't see why that person didn't give it another chance by exchanging the unit for a new one. Anyway, I was going to purchase an HP color LaserJet a few months ago, but all HP offered at that time was a cheap looking unit with a two line mono LCD display. I looked at the unit in the store and it was terrible; cheap, flimsy plastic with poor looks to boot. I found out that the printer I was looking at was being discontinued, so I waited to see what HP would come out with to replace it - and I'm overjoyed with that decision! This printer is light-years ahead of the old unit it replaces. It is constructed of high quality plastics, and looks much better too. The color LCD display is good, but I would prefer a capacitive touch screen instead of a resistive. With that said, the unit does respond quickly to a very light touch - no hard pressing required. This unit has a terrific feature set as well. I have mine set up to scan documents to my NAS drive, and it can store several different network locations so each member of my family has their own network storage folder, all accessible with the touch screen. I also have mine set up to scan to email. I only use GMail, and I don't have my own mail server :-) so to get this to work, I had to enable IMAP/SMTP on my Gmail account. This worked great as well. The print quality is also excellent. With a 600 dpi resolution, instead of a 1,200 dpi resolution of the really expensive printers, I didn't expect anything mind-blowing, but it certainly exceeded my expectations in this area as well. I hope this review helps those of you who are looking for a good quality color laser printer who don't want to spend $1,000 or more. I am incredibly happy with mine and I keep discovering more things it can do every day. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this product, so I believe the person who wrote the first review is really missing out. October 11, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Why I am disappointed This product failed right out of the box. Had an issue with a bad sensor. Also, the back of the printer is not very sturdy. What a disappointment. Had hoped it would work because it had several features that we wanted such as wireless printing and airprint. October 4, 2012
