Rated 5 out of 5Â by Shiray Never a Disappointment
Although I have only yesterday got my new wireless computers and printers up and running and have really not had an opportunity to use my new printer very much , I fully expect it to be flawless, as were the two HP laser printers I have had in the past.

I purchased the P1606dn to replace a P2015dnp. The P1606dn was selected for its duplex capability. The P1606 can print on both sides - manually. It's a good printer, however it isn't in the same class as the P2015.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by HappyCamper2012 Excellent product, especially for the price
My husband's current job requires printing anywhere from 5 to 100 pages per day. After more than 15 years of heavy use and absolutely no problems, it finally became time to replace our faithful HP 2100. We purchased an HP LaserJet 1415 color 4-in-1 that is a wonderful product and delivers great quality printing. However, we needed something a little bit faster and more economical for the black/white printing. The HP Laserjet P1606dn is the perfect choice. I researched a variety of models before purchasing and found that the reviews for the P1606dn were pretty positive across the board. We've had the unit for about 3 weeks now and are happy as clams with everything about it. The printing is superfast, especially for the first copy which seems to come out almost instantaneously. The quality is great, even on the economy setting, and the automatic duplexing is a dream come true. We are saving time, paper and ink as well as space due to the compact design of the unit. Easy setup and a great price. We couldn't be happier with the purchase. HP products continue to be the best way to go in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by ntwjohn Great little printer
I have replaced a HP LaserJet 4L that I have had for many years with this printer. This printer has performed as expected and more. I have a wide variety of devices printing to this one device over my home network. The devices I am currently sending print jobs from are Windows 7, Windows Vista, Windows XP, Apple Mac Book Pro, Apple iPad, Apple iPhone and an Android Thunder Bolt. This little printer does all the work I have asked it to do and with surprising speed. The setup was very simple and worked as I had anticipated. It did require a firmware upgrade for the Apple devices to be able to see and use the printer. The upgrade was very easy to perform and was a complete success. If you are looking for a centralized printer in your home on a hardwired connection for a wide variety of devices as I was, this printer is for you. I could not be happier.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by ERH252 Decent Inexpensive B&W Laser
Built a new Win 7 PC & my former laser printer was incompatable so I passed that on to a WinXP unit & purchased this when it went on sale. According to HP's toner/ink cartridge prices & page/cartridge, this isn't quite as inexpensive to print as my OfficeJet Pro, but I needed a laser for check printing, or other times when I needed someting that was "waterproof" & this fit the bill.
I have found a basic premise with printers, the cheaper the printer, the higher the cost/page to print, so it doesn't pay to buy cheap if you will be printing high volume, but for me my previous similar model, a toner cartridge would last over a year, so I was satisfied with not getting a +$500 laser printer. I do have mine hooked up via ethernet so any computer in the office can print to it.
Another neat plus, the driver software is actually loaded in the printer so no disks or downloads needed. & it does auto duplex to conserve paper. Also very compact for a laser printer. I have mine setting on a shelf under my OJ Pro All in one.
