Rated 5 out of 5Â by MarkZeny Good printer for the money
I purchased this printer to replace an HP1000 laser printer that was at least 10 years old, because I wanted a wireless printer so my son could print using his laptop.
The printer works great and was a breeze to set up. Just followed the instructions in the Smart Install program that automatically started when I connected the printer.
A good printer for the money. If this printer lasts only half as long as my other HP printers, it will be well worth the price paid.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by DaveandJulianne Works fine.
Very inexpensive; Works from IOS and Android. Works fine now that it is configured.
The expensive toner and non-intuitive setup are minor issues. There were a couple of unexplained errors, most likely due to minor bugs in the software. Nothing a reboot couldn't solve.

I purchased this printer more than a year ago because I wanted my own, close to me, so that I wouldn't have to go into the service department every time I needed to print something. Their non HP printer is broken every other week (not kidding)! I set up the printer to use it wirelessly, it was a snap. This printer is used in an auto repair shop and 7 of my co-workers, over the past year, have installed the printer software on their computers, and use this printer exclusively! The company pays for paper and toner! This is a great printer. Well done HP!

Have been using this printer for 4 + years now with never a problem. There are few 'features' but, the printer is inexpensive, it prints well, and cartridges last a long time. For basic printing needs, I'd highly recommend it. I just purchased a new tower system from hp, but so no reason to replace this printer.
Lastly, just to put things in perspective, I am a former, book editor, and typesetter. Back in the late 80s, I required a 600 dpi laser printer for work. The cost then, TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS!
