Customer ratings and reviews for HP Chromebook 11-1101 (Made with Google)

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent device After making the switch to a Chromebook nearly 2 months ago, it's time for a review. The first two weeks were difficult. Making the transition to the Googleverse is really the thing that you have to be ready to do. Now that I've made the change and have acclimated to it here are my thoughts: This is a great device is you don't live in software like Adobe Photoshop or doing heavy video editing. If you live in the MS Office and Browser world- go buy one of these now. Google drive works exceptionally well and the offline capability is fully adequate. You have your last 100 documents available while offline. The hardware is excellent. Build quality is superior to most PCs that are 3x the price. The IPS display is significantly sharper and has superior viewing angles than the HD versions of the Envy 15 or 17. It will streamline your computing. I don't have 10 windows open like I used to on my PC. Battery life- I get between 5-6 hours. For people who claim 2 hours, I wonder what they are doing- charging 2 cell phones off the USB ports? I wish it had and SD card slot- but otherwise it's great. The HDMI slimhost port is also the power input and works well. I use the same HDMI dongle on my Nexus 7. Overall- this is an excellent device. The Celeron versions are faster- but this is fast enough and more than a 1 lb lighter with a better display. April 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by not happy with product I can't do the things I would like to do with product it overheats does not keep a charge I am just very unhappy with the item. April 9, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Product Excellent speed and easy usability for all levels of users. April 8, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good product I bought this for my young daughter to use at school and with homework. For this purpose it is great. The major drawback for this computer is that my daughter cannot purchase apps at all. Not even through me. I have to login to the computer, and purchase apps under my name. She has to be logged in as me to play the apps. Nothing like an iTunes account where apps can be shared. Hopefully this will be updated soon. I have read several complaints about this. As a computer for yourself, I would not complain a bit. Happy with the product itself. April 1, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good, but had to return. Initially, I loved this little machine. The design is great, the screen is bright, the colors are very good, and the keyboard feels great to type on (better than some high end ultrabooks I've tried). It was everything I expected out of a chromebook save for one thing, the battery life. Ultimately, I returned my chromebook as I was only getting a little under two and a half hours of battery life out of it. In my experience, there are only two short comings to the HP Chromebook 11, the lack of an SD card slot and the battery life. I could forgive the first, but the latter... well I just need a bit more life out of it for this to be a useful edition to my work life. March 20, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Beware power cord Owned for 6 days, power cord broken. Impossible, so far, to find replacement. Power's dead, so I really can't say I enjoy it much. When it was working, it was fine. Oh well. March 12, 2014
