This does not apply to refurbished notebooks yet it doesn't note that above. It took me sitting on the phone with technical support for a few hours to resolve this issue (i.e. before they were able to help me after they realized that I purchased a warranty that's not applicable to my laptop).
They eventually refunded the money and found me an appropriate warranty, but I lost the significant discount I had used the buy the original warranty (one of the reasons I was persuaded to buy it in the first place) and the price was significantly higher. The dumbest part of it all was the fact that I found this warranty via the link they sent me in a personalized marketing email after a prior customer service encounter; it wasn't like I navigated to a wrong section or entered an incorrect model number.
In the end, the problem was addressed, albeit less than ideally for me, but I feel that a disclaimer should be written on here.

No where on this product's listing does it say that this applies to new laptops only, and not refurbished ones. Of course not many people buy refurbs, but still it should say clearly what it protects and what is invalid, especially since an email suggesting I extend my warranty brought me to this site with a discount and my specific model number in the message.
You will only find out when you buy it, wait for it to come, install it, then are unable to register it. After a few hours on the phone and waiting for a few weeks, I finally received my refund but you should avoid this product if you have a refurb.

From the time I purchased it and charging it for 24 hours, the most time I could get was 31/2 hours. For a Laptop I have to stay practically hooked up to the power. My old HP Pavilion XP does better than that. I must have a "Boeing" Battery.
Having it not turned on for about three weeks the Battery was down to 2%.
Is this normal?

This is for a 3 year guarantee just in case something should happen (By Me) because it won't be because of HP or their inside components! I have owned all HP products since 1994 and then made a mistake by getting talked into trying a Toshiba personal computer. What a "MISTAKE!!!" I won't go into all the ugly, but let me say, if you own an HP Product, then you purchased wisely and will be happy for life! If you didn't, sell it and buy an HP Replacement as fast as you can!!! HP ALL THE WAY!!! (By purchasing a 3 year guarantee for my HP Product from HP, I actually saved over one hundred dollars over doing the same with Toshiba, so see? HP is the best product for a lessor amount than most other if not all other PC Companies out there!) What are you waiting for???
