Customer ratings and reviews for HP S9500 Bluetooth Wireless Speaker

Rated 1 out of 5 by Quit after 20 days This bluetooth just quit working after less than a dozen uses. June 16, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by speakers The speakers are junk. They buzz and have a horrible sound. Waste of money... February 11, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Don't Waste Your Money or Time This product is not worth your time or the money. I spent hours+ attempting to have it connect with Bluetooth. I read the reviews before I bought it and thought I would give it a try even tho it was only 3 stars--I had an HP product coupon I had to use. Big mistake, ink cartridges would have been a much better choice. The speaker worked the first time out of the box, it connected effortlessly (I was so thankful), then never worked again once I turned my computer off. The Bluetooth continued to constantly search and was never able connect again. The speaker does work fine with the cable attached and sound quality is just ok. I ordered wireless because I wanted mobility. I have a 17" HP Envy Touchsmart and the built in speaker has limited distance volume. I already have great cabled speakers. Read the other reviews. The speaker paired with my phone (Galaxy S3) and It still works intermittently, but there is little difference in speaker vs phone volume. The light functions on the speaker do not match the description in the 2 page instruction booklet. The bluetooth search blinks constantly until it automatically turns off after several minutes of not being able to connect. The charged indicator/low battery light is only lit up when the cable is attached. I use bluetooth on my phone and computer regularly without any problems. If you do a search for the HP S9500 speakers, you will not find much information or reviews other than on the HP site-that should have been my first clue. If they worked as advertised they would have been okay, not great, but functional. The size is nice, the speaker design is nice, but the sound quality is only fair. The buttons on top are really small and quite hard to distinguish the symbols. If it worked I would have put white nail polish on them to make it easier to see. Buyer be aware and search reviews of all products before you buy. February 11, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not worth the money You can get a better sounding speaker with more options for phone etc. for less. January 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good speaker This is a very good quality speaker for the money. Easy to use. Have enjoyed it very much since our purchase. January 13, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bluetooth doesn't work, Low max volume The Bluetooth interface doesn't work; we had to use the wired connection. Even then, the total maximum volume was very low - barely hear it from 20 feet away. January 9, 2014
