Rated 5 out of 5 by It served its purpose My latest computer did not come with a modem. This was bought so that all my faxes could come into and be stored on my computer April 2, 2011
Rated 1 out of 5 by Unreliable product I bought this modem in 7/10 and it has since stopped working twice and I have had to fight with customer service both times for more than an hour both times to get it replaced... do not buy this product! March 16, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 Quick fix I originally bought this modem as a backup for our broadband PCs, but when my mother's phone modem was fried by a power surge, and a local computer "expert" replaced her internal modem without success at a cost of $125 (which he eventually refunded), I thought it might be worth a try and plugged this device in and got her online immediately. This might not work for everyone, but she's been online for about a month with no problems. September 7, 2010
Rated 1 out of 5 by Great, when it works... I live in a rural area where my choices are dial up or satellite for internet service. I ordered the USB modem with the computer. It came with the software installed and ready to roll. 45 days later it failed. HP sent me a new one and last night it failed. It did work well for about 7 months, but I think I'll be going a different route with the next one. July 21, 2010
