The brighntess, clarity, and viewing angle of this monitor are awesome! The size makes it much easier to work at home since I can view several several things side by size simultaneously on the large screen.

I knew this monitor had no speakers before purchasing but it is important to know you need external ones.
It has an external DC brick, not 120v ac direct cord.
Image is good, color is good, price was good.
If I were a big shopper I am certain that there are better values in the market, but I am not disappointed.

I got myself one of these to add some screen space to my awful 12.5 inch tablet laptop that was 'issued' to me (despite the fact that I still had to pay 2 grand for it, but that's another story) at the Colorado School for Wayward Boys and Girls. Got this one through HP directly. It took me about 15 minutes to set up completely, at least half of which was dealing with my cord situation, which is my problem and not yours...hopefully.
The picture quality is fantastic, and once you spend a couple minutes playing around with the picture settings you should be more than satisfied with the screen itself. It has (1 each) VGA, DVI, and HDMI inputs. I am currently getting the full 1080p on VGA, which is theoretically the lowest quality input (I'm saving the HDMI for my PS3).
Some words of advice, though. This monitor, like 95% of monitors, doesn't have any speakers, yet this fact still surprises some people. It doesn't have any audio interface whatsoever (so don't expect to plug an HDMI cable into it and extract the audio from an output in the monitor itself; you'll need to do audio separately, depending on your particular audio situation). Really, though, the lack of speakers isn't that much of a loss, considering that the few monitors that do have audio tend to be overpriced and have lower quality speakers anyway. I'll consider retracting the previous statement once they start making monitors with 5.1 channel audio to include subwoofers.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by Matt92 Color is off
I decided to purchase a second monitor, so I purchased an additional HP. I am happy with the color and contrast of the old HP monitor, but I cannot get the new monitor to come close to matching the color, contrast and brightness. It's more than a little annoying to have two monitors with such a different picture.
The monitor wouldn't be bad as a stand alone, but the difference is stark side by side with my old HP monitor.
