Customer ratings and reviews for HP Dual Hinge Notebook Stand

Rated 2 out of 5 by What a hack! This stand is made to handle the docking station for the business line of notebooks, but they include a big plastic "plate" to cover the mounting points for the business docking station. This leaves nothing to hold on to the notebooks like the 17T-J100. Even the front rubber covered stops don't provide much to hold the front of the notebook. Try to plug in a USB cable and the whole notebook goes sliding all over. I really miss the one cable hookup of my old docking station plus it was nice having speakers and some extra storage in the old one. This thing is just a stand. January 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Much better than my cooling pad works better than cooling pad. Better for my hands and eyes. Better ergonically and adjusts to needed height. January 11, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Limited features The stand did little for me with a laptop that does not have a connector to use with a docking station. It took up space; was not specifically suited for my laptop; and, provided no value added features to make it worth spending money on. August 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Bundle not Compatible When I purchased the Spectre XT15 4000, I chose a bundled package consisting of a Notebook Stand and Port Replicator. When I received the package, I quickly discovered the stand was designed for a Docking Station to attach directly to the stand... however the Port Replicator that was bundled with the package could not attach to the stand and would need to sit on the desk next to the stand (there were not designed to work together). Not sure why HP chose to bundle as they were not designed to work together. I sent the stand back and kept the replicator. July 17, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by DOA I opened the box and it was downhill from there. It seemed simple, pull a lever and ready to lift the stand. It was stuck, didn't work. After careful examination found gauging around one of the screws. I tried to get customer support but the search does not find the Dual Hinge Notebook stand in the items supported. July 13, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by High price, poor design The instructions for assembly/use are extremely poorly written - I could never get the thing to raise/lower, and searching the product's information online gave no additional information. I ended up buying a used HP xb4 Notebook Media Docking Station on eBay for about $27, and it's working just fine. July 4, 2013
